A semicircular scored, reverse acting rupture
disc designed specifically for applications in the pharmaceutical, food & beverage and biotech industries that require pressures above SANITRX
HPX.
Ideal in a wide range of sanitary and hygienic applications, SANITRX HPX II rupture discs fit between industry-standard sanitary ferrules, NA-CONNECT® flanges or SANITRX fittings. They are in compliance with the essential criteria of the ASME BPE standards of cleanability, traceability and sterilization, and are shipped in sanitary, environmentally friendly, nontoxic packaging.

The versatility of the SANITRX HPX II
SANITRX HPX II rupture discs can be used in a wide range of sanitary and hygienic applications throughout pharmaceutical, biotech, food and beverage facilities. They fit between industry-standard sanitary ferrules, NovAseptic flanges or SANITRX fittings.
To optimize service life and rupture disc performance, we manufacture and test each order of SANITRX HPX II rupture discs at your specified compressible or incompressible relief conditions.
Fluoropolymer coating is available for corrosion protection on process or vent sides. Electropolished surface finishes are also available. ASME Code Section VIII, Division 1 compliance available when requested.
ASME BPE Standard
The SANITRX HPX rupture disc family is in compliance with the essential criteria of the ASME BPE standard as follows:
Clean-in-place and steam-in-place cleanable
Withstands temperatures of 130°C where steam sterilization is required
Internal surfaces and sanitary fittings meet SF1 (20 Ra microinch) standard surface-finish requirements
USP Class VI-certified gaskets are fully traceable, include no animal derivatives and meet other ASME BPE standards
316L SS fittings are standard; alternate materials are available

This standard provides requirements applicable to the design of equipment used in the biotech, pharmaceutical and personal care industries, including aspects related to sterility and cleanability, materials of construction, dimensions and tolerances, surface finish, material joining and seals.
The standard applies to components in contact with the product, raw materials or intermediates. Systems that are a critical part of the manufacturing process, such as water for injection (WFI), clean steam, filtration and intermediate storage may also abide by this standard.
Sanitary packaging
The SANITRX HPX rupture disc family is shipped in sanitary, nontoxic, environmentally friendly packaging.

Plastic packaging eliminates direct contact of the rupture disc with open cell material, such as cardboard or foam, which can carry contaminants or leave particles on the rupture disc
Clear packaging provides visibility of the rupture disc tag, allowing verification of the rupture disc specification without removal from the package
Recyclable plastic package and cardboard carton
Combined with the vertical tag, the new plastic packaging provides a compact, space-saving container for the rupture disc

Protectores contra abolladuras
Si la cúpula de salida (lado de ventilación) de su disco está expuesta o en riesgo de daño, utilice un protector contra abolladuras para prevenir incidentes.
Juntas
Asegure un sellado hermético, incluso en portadiscos que puedan tener rayones o picaduras, instalando una junta de alta calidad.
Soportes de manipulación
Una manipulación inadecuada durante la instalación puede afectar la configuración de la presión de ruptura. Recomendamos el uso de soportes de manipulación al instalar discos de ruptura delgados o delicados para evitar daños.
Anillos protectores
Agregue un anillo protector para evitar daños a los discos de ruptura más frágiles o revestimientos delicados que puedan estar expuestos a materiales extraños en la zona del asiento.
Soportes de vacío
Proteja su disco de ruptura en condiciones de vacío utilizando un soporte de vacío adecuado. Si requiere protección contra contrapresiones superiores a 14.7 psig (1.01 barg), consulte con su representante de LaMOT para determinar la solución ideal.
Cuando solicite un disco de ruptura para operar en condiciones de vacío, es importante especificar los detalles exactos. Nuestros soportes de vacío están diseñados como parte integral del disco de ruptura y vienen fijados permanentemente para garantizar una instalación correcta.
Diseño del asiento
El disco de ruptura estándar de LaMOT está disponible en dos opciones de asiento: "labio ligero" y "labio pesado," ambos con un ángulo de 30°. El tamaño y la clase de los pernos del soporte determinan el tipo de asiento necesario. Para más detalles sobre el uso de asientos de labio pesado, consulte la Tabla 1. Si el tipo de asiento no está especificado en la Tabla 1, se aplicará un labio ligero.

Burst Pressure Range: 10 psig – 500 psig (0,689 barg – 34,5 barg)
Maximum Recommended Operating Ratio: 90 or 95% of the rupture disc’s rated (stamped) burst pressure.
